icce

I love icces they are so amazing and you can get only at any gas station basically anywhere except Mexico. In the United States every gas station and even some of the fast food places have slurpees. There is jolly rancher flavors, green apple, blue raspberry, cherry, and Fante flavors as well as pina colada, coffee, coca cola, sprite, orange, and even grape. These are just a few of the flavors; I would not even be able to say all of them out there. There cheap, sweet and quick to get. They are so wonderful because they last so long and are quick to get anywhere. It is something that everyone likes and I guess is an American tradition.
Compared to smooties and shakes they are not dairy, and are refreshing and cold since it is so hot out here in California. It is only of my favorites things to drink but since I was in Mexico and they did not have any sluprees I mean seriously I went to seven eleven and they did not have any slurpees. I would really like to know if anyone has ever been to any seven eleven and they not have slurpees. It was insane and I was so mad. But since they did not have any I substituted them with frozen margaritas and daiquiris. Which ended up being way better in the long run. so I guess you cannot always get what you want especially if you’re in another county. apparently you have to do it their way if you want to get somewhere or at least have fun and have a refreshing drink by the pool.
Going to Mexico made me realize a lot of things, so many things are different from what I was used to. I mean I took the simple fact of walking into a gas station and getting a slurpee on any corner.

Fraud

Does it make you wonder why you can go into a restaurant and order food and it come and it looks nothing like the picture in the menu? This really makes me mad because more than half the time that you get food it does not look anything like the picture. Why do we settle for less, I mean why does no one complain about it not looking like the picture? Seriously look at all the Burger King, Carl’s Jr., McDonalds commercials and menus does anyone ever get anything that looks like the picture.
Even I do not complain and I do not understand why I do not. Why should we get what we pay for? That is false advertisement. But no one cares at all. The burgers are always juicy, big, and they look so delicious, but when we receive them there all smashed together and oily. Not only in at fast food joints, but in restaurants as well. I really want to go a restaurant that all the food actually looks like they say it is.
I asked a couple of people and they all said that Carl’s Jr’s food looks the most like what is advertised. And I do agree with that but to me Carl’s Jr is more expensive than other fast food places. But I guess if you want what you really should get in the first place you must pay more. But I still do not get it why do we do this? Whose ideal is it in the first place to designs these mega burgers that are so fake? How did they know they were going to be able to get away with it? what really gets me is when I see an advertisement of this amazing burger and I go and get it and it is nothing like the picture but somehow it still taste great. I do not even realize that is nothing like the picture and there is no crunch lettuce or mega big pickles. A fat chunk of meat or that toasted bun.

cannot always have it your way

I am in Mexico on my spring break and today I went to a real authentic taco stand in Playa De Carmen, Mexico. It was so different from anywhere I have ever eaten before. It was a whole in the wall, it was in like in a roll up garage and man that was working there lived in the back. This place had no options, carnitas, tortillas, Jabanero sauce, onions, coke, and orange soda. That was all they had on the menu I was so confused. It was like nothing I had ever seen before. All they had was carnitas tacos when Jabanero sauce, and boy was it hot. I did not taste it until I was half way done with my second taco. It burned my mouth so bad. They did not even sell water when I asked for water the man went next door and bought a bottle of water for 10 pesos. The man laughed at me when I asked if they had beans and rice. At first it was kind of scary because I did not know what anything was going to be like. But then I started to realize that everything was so simple. It is so crazy how everyone takes it for granted all these sauces and options.
It was so cheap, since Mexico goes by kilos, we got 1 kilo, tortillas, a total of 8 bottled drinks and our totals was only eighteen American dollars. It was cheaper to eat there then at McDonalds for breakfast that morning. You cannot even image how good it was as well. Just like the day before my family and I ate at a hotdog stand, and it was ten American dollars for four sodas and ten hot dogs.
It really makes me wonder how it is fair when we go through the drive through at any American fast food place and we pay like five or six dollars just to get a meal. That is nowhere near how good these places were. Eating at these two places was really a reality check because it really tripped me out. I could not get my head around how they can give you this much food for so cheap. I am still puzzled.
